Thank you to all those who attended Kids On The Move’s Special Needs in Religion event! This uplifting event took place on April 18, 2019.
Special Needs in Religion is geared towards religious leaders/clergy, church teachers and parents of children with disabilities. This is a non-denominational event that all religions are welcome to attend.
Our keynote speaker Katie Steed spoke on ministering to individuals and families with disabilities. The event also included multiple breakout sessions and other speakers. Cade Charlton spoke on strategies for promoting positive behavior. Jared Andes spoke on mental health and supportive understanding. There was also a parent panel that discussed their experiences of raising children with disabilities.
