Every single day, more than 3 million children across the United States, along with their families, face the often-daunting realities of developmental delays and disabilities. Yet, amidst these challenges, a beacon of hope shines brightly through Kids on the Move (KOTM). For over four decades, KOTM has steadfastly provided vital services and comprehensive services that are critical to ensuring every child can reach their potential.
Bring your little one to our playgroup for a fun, interactive experience led by a friendly KOTM staff member. You and other parents will enjoy activities tailored to your children’s needs, all in a lively social environment. It’s a great way to bond with your child and meet other parents, too.
Infant massage cultivates love, compassion, respect, and well-being for infants and children through touch. We’d love for you and your baby to join us for a 90-minute class taught by a certified infant massage instructor (CIMI). During our time together, you will practice massage techniques and sequences established by the Loving Touch Foundation.
Join us for our Great Beginnings class, where you’ll discover how your child learns to communicate, hear, and develop language. In this friendly, 90-minute session, you’ll get practical tips and easy-to-use strategies to boost your child’s language skills at home. We meet once a week for two weeks, giving you plenty of time to practice and see progress. Come learn, share, and grow with other parents in a supportive environment.
Floortime is a fun and interactive way to boost your child’s communication skills. We meet for 90 minutes weekly for three weeks, and you’ll learn how to enhance communication with your child through play and social interactions. Discover effective problem-solving techniques and advanced communication strategies, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
Sibshops are fun, recreational workshops for kids aged 7-13 who have a sibling with special needs. We gather on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kids on the Move. Your child will enjoy a mix of games, make new friends, participate in engaging activities, and share lunch with other children. It’s a great space for them to talk about the joys and challenges of having a sibling with special needs while having a blast. We welcome all families in the community to join us.
Cost is $5 per child or covered by Kids on the Move if under an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Our classes are open to enrolled families and the public, pending availability.
In November 2008, a satellite center was completed on the Snow Springs Elementary School site in western Lehi. The purpose of this center was to make services more accessible to the growing number of families residing in newly incorporated Eagle Mountain and a quickly developing Saratoga Springs.
