Empowering families and transforming lives through compassionate autism support.

Founded on the Belief That Every Child Can Learn & Grow

When KOTM was founded over 40 years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act was still a far-off dream, and programs like our Autism Center were nowhere to be found. But as our understanding of neurodivergence has grown, and the science and therapies for empowering those with autism have developed, KOTM worked swiftly to adopt and implement them.

Today, 1 in every 36 children has autism, and we believe every single one of these children has beautiful gifts to share with their families, communities, and beyond when they have access to the proper tools and education.

As with all of our programs, our hope with the Autism Center is that ABA therapy will empower them to thrive in the future so they can share their gifts with the world.

Frequently Asked Questions
& Additional Resources

Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy or ABA therapy is a research-based approach to improving socially significant behaviors in children with autism through positive reinforcement.

KOTM providers celebrate the uniqueness of each child in our program. We aim to use ABA to support each individual in pursuing their own goals and building on their own strengths.

If your child has been diagnosed with autism and you are seeking comprehensive, personalized support, our services can make a significant difference.

No, an official diagnosis is not needed to enroll. However, most insurance companies require an official autism diagnosis to provide coverage for ABA therapy.

Many insurance companies provide ABA therapy as a medical benefit with the proper documentation and diagnosis. We are credentialed with all local and major national insurance companies including Medicaid.

While each child is unique, many families see improvements in communication, social skills, and overall behavior within the first few months. However, each child ultimately progresses on their own timeline, and we celebrate those wins no matter how soon or long they take.

Raising a child with autism is a journey, but it’s one you don’t have to walk alone.

We look forward to connecting with you! Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for every child.
